To complement the text PRACTICAL PATHOLOGY OF CHEST DISEASE, we will present case studies that illustrate pathological and radiographic changes of disease. A clinical summary will be followed by descriptions of pertinent radiographs and images of the histology. Based on these, the viewer can formulate a diagnosis and compare it to that given in the following discussion. References are included.

Computer settings: The images require thousands of colors or more for presentation. The contrast and color knobs of the monitor should be set for optimal viewing.

Photography: Film for the photomicrographs was Kodak Elite II 100 and for the radiographs was Kodak Rapid Process Copy Film. All photographs were modified in Adobe PhotoshopTM.
