Medial and intimal thickening

This vessel, 260 µm in diameter, has a thick media with some new elastic fibers in it. There is also eccentric intimal thickening, which can be found in either thromboembolic or plexogenic vascular disease. Note the adventitial fibrosis (dark pink van Gieson staining) that has recently been noted as a feature of plexogenic angiopathy.
