Because the vascular nature of the mass was difficult to appreciate on CT, an MR was performed.

MR showed definite evidence of prior hemorrhage within the mass as well as diffuse enhancement, consistent with a vascular neoplasm.

The dense white areas medially in the mass and lateral to the mass represent hemorrhage. The rounded black area with a central white dot next to the lateral area of hemorrhage is the chest tube with clot.
