Here, interfollicular (IF) perivascular fibrosis, which may be part of a more diffuse central fibrosis (see below), is present. The increased numbers of small IF vessels without fibrosis are lined by cells with variable amounts of cytoplasm.

Find the perivascular fibrosis.

Here, multiple foci of concentric perivascular fibrosis have become confluent. Calcification, sometimes detected radiographically, occasionally occurs in these fibrotic foci.

Note again the increased vascularity of the IF region.
