Virtual bronchoscopy is a non-invasive, three-dimensional imaging technique that provides a different perspective for a volumetric CT data set. Using various thresholding techniques, as well as the manipulation of opacity and light cues, virtual bronchoscopy creates an endoluminal perspective for the review of volumetric CT datasets that simulates flexible fiberoptic bronchoscopy.
