Scope and Objective
This series of unknowns will present radiographs of histologically confirmed entities along with pathological correlation, which is not always from the same case. Designed to interest the pulmonologist in this correlation, these exercises will show a spectrum of disease from common to obscure along with criteria for diagnosis. Links to other sites with clinical case studies or basic HRCT/pathology correlation will amplify the topics.
Instructions
Look at the images in order. Try to answer the questions before clicking on "answer". Some images have requests in red type to find certain structures. Place the cursor over the appropriate structure and click once to get confirmation of its nature. Note that the arrow changes to a hand when it is over a marked lesion. This "hand" can be used to outline the structure. After viewing the images, try to give a differential diagnosis of the findings. Don't forget to use the "back" button in the menu area to return to the unknown after looking at answers, "more information," or abstracts.
