Radiographic Staging of Sarcoidosis

The radiograph of our patient shows stage II disease. Both bilateral hilar adenopathy and lung opacities are present.

Stage and Radiographic Appearances

Stage 0--Normal radiograph

Stage I--Bilateral hilar adenopathy

Stage II--Bilateral hilar adenopathy + lung opacities

Stage III--Lung opacities alone

Stage IV--Parenchymal fibrosis
