Histologic Features

Image A shows intranuclear, cytoplasmic vacuoles (arrows), which are characteristic, but non-specific, findings in these tumors. Image B shows the inflammatory response around tumor. Plasma cells with eccentric nuclei and visible cytoplasm, lymphocytes without visible cytoplasm, and one eosinophil are present. The plasma cell at the arrow has 3 cytoplasmic vacuoles that contain secretion. These are called Russell bodies.
