Radiologic Changes

CT scan taken in early 1997 shows a large, left pleural effusion with a small, enhancing or high-density, parietal pleural nodule (arrow).

After thoracentesis, the nodule persists along with mild, irregular, pleural thickening. In the right chest, note high-density, calcified pleural plaques in the subcostal and paraspinal pleura (arrows).
